Differences in MMA deepen

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Oct 29: Differences in the MMA deepened as the big wigs of the MMA failed to reach on a settlement with the angry JUI-S leadership.

Ameer of Jamaat-i-Islami Qazi Hussain Ahmed and the central vice-president MMA, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, acting central general secretary of MMA, Siraj-ul-Haq, senior provincial minister and provincial Ameer JI and Senator Professor Mohammad Ibrahim provincial vice-president of JI visited Dera Ismail Khan on Wednesday and held three-hour meeting with Qazi Abdul Latif central Naib Ameer JUI-S and provincial president MMA at his residence at Kulachi.

It is reported that Qazi Latif expressed his concern and informed the MMA delegation that the MMA provincial government continuously ignoring JUI-S members of provincial assembly in developmental schemes of their areas, the members and leaders of JUI-S were completely ignored during the chief minister’s Dera Ismail Khan visits and they were also not invited in recently held Mufti Mehmood Conference at D.I. Khan in which top slot of the MMA leadership were present.

However, Qazi Latif told the MMA delegation that the decision of compromise with the MMA would take place after the arrival of Maulana Sami-ul-Haq who is abroad in these days. Maulana Shah Abdul Aziz (MNA) of Karak was also present in the meeting.

Earlier, Qazi Hussain Ahmed and Hafiz Hussain Ahmed while talking to newsmen revealed that the MMA will hold protest demonstration in front of Parliament House at Islamabad on Friday against government’s operation in tribal areas.

They stated that MMA would never accept military democracy and will continue its protest in and outside of Parliament.
