HYDERABAD, Oct 29: Hesco chief executive Tariq Arshad here on Tuesday issued instructions to company officers of the interior of Sindh not to resort to load-shedding during Ramazan.

The Hesco chief said in case of emergency or technical fault, power supply should not be suspended for more than two hours.

He also appointed mobile teams, headed by superintending engineers and executive engineers concerned, to take immediate steps to ensure regular power supply in case a fault developed in the system.

Mr Arshad also ordered that special arrangements should be made to provide temporary power connections for commercial purposes at different commercial centres within 12 hours.

He directed sub-divisional officers to remain present at their offices and attend complaints without any delay.

He also constituted special teams to check power theft and take legal action against power thieves.

QUALITY WORK: Latifabad Taluka Nazim Abdul Jabbar Khan has said officers concerned should maintain quality in development works.

He said this while inspecting the ongoing repair work of roads on Wednesday.

He said a technical committee, to be comprised of taluka council members, would be appointed to ensure quality of work.

The Nazim said the road repair work had been under taken from taluka funds as it would take quite sometime to construct the roads under different development packages.

He urged the people to point out deficiencies in the working of the taluka council. Mr Khan was accompanied by Naib Nazim Ghulam Mustafa Kalhoro.

HSC PRATICALS: The controller of examinations, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hyderabad, has notified that supplementary practical examinations of HSC-II of physics, chemistry and biology will be held from Nov 10.

He further announced that practicals of economics, library science and computer science would also start on Nov 10.
