LAHORE: A large number of people especially children on Saturday visited the 15th National Folk Puppet Festival being held at Rafi Peer Cultural Centre on Raiwind Road.

On the second day of the event, the festival management says hundreds of visitors, mostly children, enjoyed the performances.

The cultural centre had been adorned with multi-coloured lights and other decorative material. The performances made on Friday were repeated on Saturday.

Pakistan National Council of Arts Puppeteer Group, Alhamra group and puppet theatre from Bahawalpur came up with the traditional folk performances which involved story telling and sometimes in the background puppeteers also played film songs.

The festival will conclude on Sunday (today).
