Three of a family killed

RAJANPUR, Oct 28: Three females, two of them minor sisters, were killed in an attack on their house by their rivals at the Rojhan tehsil, on Monday night.

Reports said Long Lathani and Bhatta Imrani of Rojhan had developed differences after a former’s son was killed by the members of the Bhatta group a year ago. To exact revenge, the Lathani group murdered a member of their rival clan after which the police arrested several members of the two groups.

On Monday, the Lathani group attacked the house of their rival’s chieftain with rocket launchers during which Imrani’s two daughters — Zarina (9) and Amina (8) — and his sister-in-law, Zeenat Mai, were killed. Some of the inmates were injured and taken to a hospital in Sadiqabad.

It is learnt that the bodies were first taken to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital and then to the Kot Mithan Hospital for autopsy. However, their postmortem could not be carried out because of unavailability of any female doctor.
