RAWALPINDI, Oct 27: The district government on Monday constituted a task force to check price hike and hoarding of essential commodities.

District Nazim Raja Tariq Kiani, after attending a meeting held to review the prices, vowed to sternly deal with the problem of profiteering during Ramazan.

He said besides keeping a check on the prices, all-out efforts would be made to ensure availability and quality of kitchen items.

District Officer Revenue Ziaul Haq will head the task force. Other members of the task force are the deputy district revenue officers of respective Tehsils.

A control room has been set up at the district government’s headquarters, while the consumers can also lodge their complaints on telephone.
