Five killed in accident near Torkham

LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), Oct 27: At least five people, including an Afghan woman, were killed and two others sustained serious injuries in an accident near Torkham on Monday.

Mohammad Hashim of Jalalabad, Nadir Khan of Charsadda and three others were killed when a speedy passenger van (Peshawar B-732) skidded off the road while overtaking a truck at Michnid. The van driver, Wahid Shinwari, and a passenger, Spin Ghar, were seriously injured and admitted to the Landi Kotal hospital.

The van was on its way from Torkham to Peshawar.
