KARACHI, Oct 27: Eight ships carrying palm oil and DAP fertilizer are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Ocean Starlight, Flame, Taihe to unload and load containers and Bow Cecil to load molasses were berthed after the departure of three.

The ships, which departed included Ocean Starlight, Sea Rainbow and Sargodha, while Tai He, City of London, Black Swan and Flame are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was modest as the total tonnage showed a slight increase at 54,175 tons as compared to 51,443 tons a day earlier. The export tonnage totalled 19,168 tons and import to 34,907 tons.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Armour-2, with 10,000 tons of palm oil, Emerald Bay, with 50,000 tons of high speed diesel, Kota Teguh, Oriental Bright, Kota Wajaya, Manhattan Bridge, Corin Thaikos, with containers and Captain Yannin, with 38,338 tons of DAP fertilizer.
