GUJRANWALA, Oct 26: Three boys, including two brothers, were run over and killed by the Karachi-bound Khyber Mail near Kamoke on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Nabeel (13), Naveed (5) and their cousin Asfahan (5).
The bodies were handed over to the heirs by the railway police.
seized: The Customs seized a huge quantity of smuggled Indian cloth at the Chenab bridge near Wazirabad on Sunday.
On a tip off that Indian cloth was being smuggled from the Tribal Area into the Punjab, a Customs team was deployed at the Chenab. As the vehicle carrying cloth reached there, the raiding team stopped it and recovered the cloth worth Rs4 million from it.
Two smugglers were also taken into custody.
SUICIDE: A woman committed suicide by taking poisonous pills in Tetley here on Sunday.
Asia Bibi went to her parents’ house following a quarrel with her husband, Bashir. When her father reprimanded her, she took poison and died on the spot.
NEW ROAD: The district Nazim on Sunday inaugurated the newly-constructed Jinnah Road.

FATAL ROAD ACCIDENT: A motorcycle-rickshaw driver was run over by a truck on the Gondlanwala Road.
Dawood died on the spot. Police have registered a case against the truck crew.
