RAWALPINDI: Belarus Minister for Industry Vitlay Vovk on Monday said efforts were under way to improve trade between his country and Pakistan.

Agreements in this regard will be signed during the visit of Prime Minister Andrey Kobyakov to Pakistan.

He was visiting the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI). Belarus Ambassador Andrey Ermalovich and other senior officials of Belarus embassy also accompanied him.

The RCCI President Mian Humayun Parvez, Senior Vice President Saqib Rafiq, vice president Aqil Ubaid, S.M Naseem, Amanullah Khan S.M Ali Raza Saeed, among other executive committee members welcomed the delegation.  

He said that the business communities of the two countries should increase their contacts to improve trade ties.

Belarus Ambassador ran a documentary introducing heavy machinery including grain harvesting vehicles for mutual research and business purpose.

At the end of the meeting the ambassador of Belarus invited the RCCI executive committee to visit Belarus for meeting with the trade leaders.

The RCCI president, Mian Humayun Parvez, said they would welcome investments in business and industrial sector of the country.

He said the economic growth of both the countries would stabilise rapidly once the trade ties between them improved.
