MANSEHRA Oct 25: Work on Rs.300.6 million package announced by the NWFP chief minister for the development of the tribal belt of Kala Dhaka of the Mansehra district will soon begin.

This was stated by the administrator of the Kala Dhaka area, Abdul Ghafoor Beg, while talking to the newsmen in the DCO office here on Friday.

He said that the tribal elders in a Jirga held here on Thursday welcomed the allocation of funds for the area and assured not to grow poppy in future.

The administrator informed that constructions of 40 kilometre Darband to Thakot road, eight new hilly roads, provision of electricity to 30 villages, construction of a number of water supply schemes, repair of nine school buildings and construction of five new school buildings were included in the project.

He said a 100 youth of the area would be appointed in Khasadar Force.
