LAHORE: Aitchison School on Monday won the under-19 debate championship organized by the Debating Society of Pakistan in association with the Salamat Girls -- a subsidiary of the Salamat school system.

The Aitchison school team defeated the LGS (phase-V) in the final round that was attended by a number of people, including parents and programme monitors.

“The teams of Lahore Grammar School and Aitchison had qualified for the finals and after a cut-throat competition, Aitchison was announced the winner of the tournament by the panels of highly qualified judges,” a spokesperson said in a press release.

The final round was also attended by retired Justice Mohammad Qayyum (Advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan), Aisha Amir Ahmed, Head of Debating Society of Pakistan, Sheheryar Salamat, Director of SSS and Romana Nosheen, principal of Salamat Girls.
