BADIN, Oct 23: Hesco authorities have planned renovation of electricity feeders and replacement of old transmission cables and distribution lines at a cost of Rs20 million under the Badin betterment scheme.

This was stated by executive engineer Tando Mohammad Khan division Imdad Hussain Abro while talking to newsmen here on Thursday.

Mr Abro said the work would be completed in a month of its start.

He said an amount of Rs10 million would be spent on the renovation of Khoski feeder and the work would start from Jan 1 while the renovation of distribution lines at a cost of Rs10 million was going on at the Golarchi section.

He said the power supply to many government departments, except those of essential services, had been disconnected.

Most of defaulting offices were the local government offices, he said. Mr Abro said the power supply had been restored to some of the departments after reconciliation between the departments.

He said foggy weather in many cities of the province was disturbing power supply which would continue till fair weather.
