HYDERABAD, Oct 23: Relatives of slain peasant Ram Chand, who was murdered in the jurisdiction of the Saeedabad police station one month back, held a demonstration outside the press club here on Thursday.

The residents of the Kiran Khan Shoro village were protesting against the inordinate delay in dispensation of justice in the case.

Talking to journalists, the protesters, including women and children, said Ram Chand was murdered while he was working in a garden of Dr Fayaz Shaikh.

They said an FIR was registered at the Saeedabad police station and the accused was arrested but the police did not finalize the case.

They appealed to higher authorities to appoint honest police officers to investigate the case.
