Cricket with India

Published October 13, 2015

IT is rather strange to observe that the Pakistan Cricket Board and government functionaries are bent upon asking the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to agree for a cricket series, despite the blunt refusal by them on political pretext.

Our authorities are rather begging for India’s nod, showing a deficiency of self-esteem.

If India is avoiding a cricket series, we should restrict our connections and focus all our efforts on strengthening the capabilities of our team for any international encounter.

If we are confident of facing opponents, we need to ensure fitness of our merit-based team with serious hard work.

Such an approach is likely to alter attitudes.
