LAHORE: Capital City police issued a security advisory to candidates of NA-122 on Friday.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Liaquat Ali Malik in a letter expressed concern over movements of candidates contesting by-election in NA-122. Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) Aleem Khan, PML-N’s Ayyaz Sadiq and PPP’s Barrister Aamir Hasan are scheduled to contest the poll and are conducting campaigns in different parts of the city.

The letter said there were reports of a possible attack on the candidates and police had issued a security advisory to the candidates with directions to use bullet-proof vehicles during their election campaigns.

It said the contestants should get in touch with the area police about their movements so steps could be taken to provide them security. Police would remain alert to avoid any untoward incident.'
