KARACHI, Oct 21: Three ships carrying containers and to load molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves remained slow owing to delayed arrivals of the foreign flag vessels for the second day in a row. Three ships, Bunga Delima, Gao He to unload and load containers and Black Swan to offload coal were berthed after the departure of two.

Izumo and Gao He departed on Tuesday, while Panos, G. Corin Thiakos, Bunga Delima, APL Emerald and Ya Hai are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity on the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 91,162 tons comprising 21,933 tons of export and 69,229 tons of import cargo including 40,141 tons of liquid cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Mont Balance to load 35,000 tons of molasses, Hyundai Highway and Al-Ihsaa, with containers.
