KARACHI, Dec 24: The State Bank has advised all banks and non-bank financial institutions to freeze the accounts of Lashkar-i-Tayyaba and Ummah Tameer-i-Nau (UTN).

Last week, the Bush administration had frozen the accounts of these organizations.

An SBP spokesman said the State Bank had asked banks and NBFIs to furnish within a week the details of the assets of the two groups. Senior bankers said the SBP had also asked them to identify the holders of the assets belonging to the two outfits.
