FAISALABAD, Oct 19: The Jaranwala Tehsil Bar Association will boycott courts on Monday (today) to protest the decision of setting up a new police circle of Khurrianwala by detaching areas of the existing Jaranwala circle.

The meeting which was held under the chairmanship of TBA president Rana Muhammad Ilyas termed the decision highly uncalled for and against the interest of the area people.

Speakers Rana Muhammad Ilyas, Chaudhry Khan, Noor Ahmed Baloch, Muhammad Ali Noon, Khalid Muneer and Jawed Iqbal said that the Jaranwala circle had been in operation for the last five decades.

They claimed that some political leaders in league with the police hierarchy had planned to set up new Khurrianwala police circle after attaching it with the Chak Jhumra tehsil. This unjustified step would not only create numerous problems for litigants but also hamper business activities in Jaranwala, Khurrianwala and Chak Jhumra, they said.

With the creation of new police circle, they said the lawyers would have to move to Chak Jhumra and Faisalabad which would be an undue financial burden on them.
