Kidnap case

GUJRAT, Oct 19: The Lalamusa Sadar police registered a kidnap case against three people two months after the incident on the directive of a local court.

Latif said Anjum, Imran and Arshad kidnapped his son Qamar over a dispute, but SI Gulzar refused to register a case, adding he repeatedly visited the police station but to no avail. He alleged the SI was bribed by the accused, who might have killed his son.

He criticized DSP Mahmoodul Hasan for expressing inability to force the SI to register the case, advising him to contact the Kharian DSP. Later, the district and sessions judge ordered registration of a case.— Correspondent
