Prisoners observe hunger strike

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Oct 18: A group of prisoners of the Kandiaro taluka sub-jail observed a token hunger strike on Saturday to protest against the Mukhtiarkar and the jail chief for not providing them with quality food.

The prisoners complained that jail chief Ali Hassan Channa and Mukhtiarkar Syed Paryal Shah were not providing them proper food. They alleged that the officials were taking Rs2,000 per month from each prisoner.—BoC
