QUETTA, Oct 17: A soldier of the Frontier Corps was killed and four other people were injured on Friday during an operation launched against dacoits and those involved in rocket attacks.

Sources said the FC troops cordoned off a hideout of dacoits 13km from the Kohlu township on a tip-off and launched an operation against them.

The dacoits opened indiscriminate fire, killing an FC man.

They said four dacoits injured in the exchange of fire were arrested by the law enforcement agencies. They said the action was continuing.
