KARACHI, Oct 16: In view of deregulation of the telecommunications sector, the Pakistan Telecommunication Company has chalked out a human resource management plan to prepare the staff to meet the challenges of the competitive environment, says a press release.

It adds that as part of its three-phased approach towards a human resource plan, a pre-workshop meeting was held in the city with PTCL Member (Admn) Iftikhar Ahmad Raja in the chair.

“Similar pre-workshop meetings were held at Lahore and Islamabad. The process will be followed by phase two, ie ‘during workshop’, and phase three, ‘post workshop’. After that, a concrete HR strategy and an action plan will be prepared for the PTCL.”

Mr Raja said the HR plan aimed at preparing the company to go through an overall change to enhance customer satisfaction during the days to come.
