PUTRAJAYA, (Malaysia), Oct 15: President Pervez Musharraf on Wednesday met Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, Egyptian Prime Minister Atef Ebeid and Sudanese President Omer Hassan Ahmed El Bashir in Malaysian resort town of Putrajaya and exchanged views on regional and international issues.

During the meeting between the president and the Saudi crown prince, Foreign Minister Khurshid M. Kasuri and Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Abdul Aziz also accompanied the two leaders.

Later, the two leaders had a two-hour-long exclusive meeting in which they discussed regional, bilateral and international matters.

The discussion also focused on issues, which are expected to be discussed at the OIC summit meeting beginning on Thursday.

Meanwhile, President Musharraf and Egyptian Prime Minister Ebeid discussed the situation in the Middle East, the post-war situation in Iraq, Afghanistan and the situation in South Asia.

The President of Sudan, during his meeting with the president, asked for technical assistance from Pakistan and scholarships for Sudanese students.

President Musharraf appreciated the efforts of the Sudanese President for leading his country on the road to progress.—APP
