LAHORE: Seminar

LAHORE, Dec 24: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry will organize a seminar on ‘protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights in Pakistan’ on Jan 5.

According to a chamber spokesman, the main purpose of the seminar is not only to create awareness about fast approaching WTO regime on IPR’s, but also to evaluate Pakistan’s commitment to WTO obligations of TRIPS-TRIMS.

‘WTO experts and top government officials from the commerce ministry, law, industries and education will review the current protection/enforcement of these laws and work out ways and means to improve country’s preparation for the WTO regime.—APP
