KHAR: Three people, among them two pro-government tribal elders, were killed and two others injured when a roadside bomb blast ripped through a vehicle in Uthmankhel tehsil of Bajaur Agency on Saturday, officials and eyewitnesses said.

Tribal elders Malik Dawa Khan and Malik Gul Kareem Khan were going to Khar along with their relatives when the remote-controlled bomb blew up their vehicle at around 8am in the hilly area of Arang.

Both the elders were killed and three people were injured.

One of them, identified as Ikhtisham Khan, died in the hospital. Another injured was said to be in critical condition.
