Zarb-i-Azb: Air chief leads combat formation to strike militant hideouts

ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman led from the front in the battle against miscreants by participating himself in the decisive phase of Operation Zarb-i-Azb.
The air chief along with a formation of the fighter aircraft took off from a forward operating base of Pakistan Air Force to carry out air strikes on the militant hideouts, said a statement released on Friday.
“Several dens of the militants and explosive depots were annihilated during the recent air campaign,” the statement added.
Following the air mission, the air chief met with the air and ground crew and lauded their services for the nation. He also appreciated their selfless devotion and morale.

While paying tribute to the iconic war veterans of PAF, the Air Chief Marshal reiterated his resolve to root out menace of terrorism from the country.
“PAF had played a decisive role in 1965 war and now playing key role in operation Zarb-i-Azb. The air force will continue to prove that it is an efficient, hard hitting air force second to none,” said the air chief.

I would love to see our politicians following such examples of actually proving themselves to be leaders and leading from the front in austerity , simplicity and sacrifices of hardships which our middle class and lower middle class is facing every day

Yes, and we have good memory of Air Marshall Nur Khan, Air Marshall Asghar Khan, Rashid Minhas and Commodore MM Alim because they were wonderful pilots and led from the front. None of them was an armchair general.

Air Marshall Noor Khan fought against India. This is our air force tradition. I wish all those who took arms against Pakistan laid down arms ASAP. Both sides are Muslim.

At the time of induction, your eyesight should be good. If it is bad they don't let you join up. After that, you can fly with glasses as it not possible to have all pilots maintain a 6/6 visual acuity as the years pass.
