We knew that it's only time before Ayyan Ali would make a public appearance, but who could have guessed that it would take place at Karachi's largest university?

The former model-turned-singer, who was granted bail in a money laundering case last month, was invited to Karachi University (KU) as an honorary guest at the inauguration of a charitable business venture by students of its Department of Public Administration.

The business venture, named ChipsNDip, is a French fries eatery that would donate part of its profits to differently abled people, revealed Ayyan in a Facebook post.

Ayyan appeared to be the life of the party of this inauguration.

She swooshed in all VIP-like...

...and was instantly swarmed for selfies:

She gave a speech...

... and shared some hard-earned lessons from life, it appears:

There was a ribbon-cutting ceremony, of course...

...and some celebratory snow foam spraying too:

Oh, and she was awarded a shield for being honorary guest:

Ayyan describes the experience as an "honor", but Twitter can't help but wonder why it was afforded to her in the first place.

Some genuinely wondered about the rationale behind the university's invitation:

Others think it's a non-issue:

While a few are struggling with an existential crisis...

... others are wondering where we'll see her next:

The country’s strength lies in its political and economic stability, not in fleeting moments of diplomatic success.
