HANGU, Oct 14: Governor Iftikhar Hussain Shah urged the well- to-do people to help the ailing humanity in their time of need.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of a week-long free eye camp here on Tuesday, he said the well-off people should share the difficulties and hardships of the needy people by contributing to the efforts for their well-being.

The organizers have also provided board and lodging facilities to the patients at the camp. They have set a target to provide eye treatment facilities to around 700 patients.

Earlier, the governor also inaugurated the construction work on the Gul Eye Hospital being set up by Dr Rafique Jan, who had organized the eye camp.

The governor pledged to provide land for an eye hospital in the Federally-Administered Tribal Area, preferably in North Waziristan Agency.
