KARACHI, Oct 14: The annual poster and painting exhibition and contest for students of primary and secondary schools will be organised here on October 16.

An announcement here on Tuesday said the competition would be organized by Japan Cultural Centre in Karachi in collaboration with the cultural and sports wing of the city district government.

The theme of the contest is: “Pakistani traditional folk craft and the Japanese traditional folk craft”.

Over 2,000 entries have been received, of these, 200 have been selected for display from October 16 to 18. The prize awarding ceremony will be held on October 16 at the Frere Hall.

The students of Karachi Japanese School will also take part in the exhibition in order to extend goodwill and support to their Pakistani friends. The exhibition will be open to public from October 16 to 18.—APP
