Soomro calls on Tehmina

Published October 14, 2003

LAHORE, Oct 13: Former National Assembly speaker Elahi Bakhsh Soomro on Monday visited PML-N central leader Tehmina Daultana to inquire after her.

She had been injured in a road accident a couple of weeks ago.

During a discussion on the occasion about the 1973 Constitution, she asked Mr Soomro when and how the LFO was made part of the basic law as it was not included in the copy of the Constitution given to the speaker for administering oath to MNAs-elect last year.

He replied that the copy given to him did not include the amendments which were later incorporated into the Constitution in the copies printed on Oct 27, 2002.
