Punjab PA to take up 117 motions

LAHORE, Oct 13: The Punjab Assembly will take up 106 adjournment and 11 privilege motions during the 12th session starting from Oct 17.

According to the proposed agenda of business to be taken up during the session, besides private members’ bills, resolutions and notice under Rule 243 of the Rules of Procedure, 1997, would also be taken up.

The other business to be transacted by the house include notice received from the law minister to amend sub-rule (2) of rule 159, regarding quorum for a sitting of a public accounts committee or committee on privileges.

The private members bills to be taken up include the Punjab Health Foundation (Amendment) Bill 2003, the Punjab Education Foundation (Amendment) Bill 2003, the Bank of Punjab (Amendment) Bill 2003, the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab Privileges (Amendment) Bill 2003, the Punjab Prevention of Domestic Violence Bill 2003 and the Punjab Foodstuffs Control (Amendment) Bill 2003.—APP
