KARACHI, Dec 24: Sindh Law and Human Rights Affairs Minister, Justice Abdul Rahman has said that paediatricians and paramedics associated with them are serving with selfless zeal for the noble cause of ailing children.

He stated this while distributing gifts among ailing children at the National Institute of Child Health. The programme was arranged by the Social Students Forum.

Appreciating the standard of NICH in provision of quality medication to the needy patients, he said ailing children who are brought to the institute from far-flung areas of the province are also well taken care of.

However, he stressed the need that besides doctors paramedical staff be also available during night time for provision of expeditious health facilities to patients.

Director of the Institute Dr. Zeenat Issani informed the minister that some 300 children are admitted at the institute while annually 20,000 such patients are admitted at the place.

Chairman of the forum, Nafees Ahmad siddiqui, in his address disclosed that the forum had planned to establish evening drug bank within one month which would provide medicines free of cost to needy patients.
