Sana Wahid bags six golds

KARACHI, Oct 12: Ten more records including six by Sana Wahid were bettered on the 2nd and final day of the 12th Sindh Women’s Swimming Championship at the KArachi Parsi Institute (KPI) pool on Sunday.

Sana Wahid stole the limelight with her outstanding performance in the pool taking as many as 6 gold with new records.

The other group champion winners were:

Ayza Tareen of Bayview Academy - Group 1 winning 3 gold’s and 1 silver and bettering 1 record Khulood Bawa of Karachi Club - Group 2, winning 4 gold’s in her age group and bettering 4 record.

Aqsa Tariq of F,P.S won group 3 with 4 gold medals Anam Haji of Karachi Grammar School won group 4 bagging 4 gold medals.

Holder KGS retained their title with Karachi Club runner up while Bayview Academy finished 3rd.

The stars of the evening session were special Olympians Mahe Noor Tariq, Monica and Khadija Hafeez with Monica the gold Khadija Hafeez winning the silver followed by Mahe Noor Tariq winning the bronze medal.—APP
