KARACHI: Sindh Food Minister Manzoor Wasan on Thursday suspended 12 food officials after he received reports about missing of 400,000 and 16,000 wheat bags from the government stocks.

Those suspended include Ghotki district food controllers Aneesur Rahman Mahar and Syed Asghar Ali Shah; three assistant food controllers Ali Ahmad Chacahr, Dildar Kalore and Imtiaz Mahar; two food grain inspectors Akbar Phulpoto and Qurban Ali Kalore and five food grain supervisors Rasheed Chachar, Zubair Kalore, Ali Azhar Lakhan, Ajay Perkash and Hafeez.

The minister warned all officials to keep the record clean, saying that anyone found involved in corruption and embezzlement of wheat bags would not be spared.
