Mahmood nets hat trick

KARACHI, Oct 11: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL) and Pakistan Railways qualified for the semifinal of NBP Junior Cup hockey championship after contrasting victories at Faisalabad Hockey Stadium, according to information received on Saturday.

Mahmood blasted a brilliant hat trick as Pakistan Railway blitzed Balochistan 7-0 in the quarterfinal. Zeeshan sounded the board twice while Muhammad Bilal and Sohail Imran scored the other goals.

In other quarterfinal, PTCL was given testing time by Punjab Color before going down fighting 1-0. Raza slammed the match winner.

In Sunday’s other quarterfinals NBP will take on KESC and Police clash POF Wah Cantt.—APP
