DJ Butt, PTI agree on formula for payment of liabilities

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and DJ Butt on Tuesday agreed on a formula for payment of liabilities for sound engineering services provided during the months-long protest sit-in at Islamabad's D-Chowk.
Earlier on Monday, Butt had threatened to take legal action against the party over non-payment for his services provided during the months-long sit-in last year. He wrote an email to PTI Chairman Imran Khan, seeking his involvement into the matter.

PTI’s Naeem ul Haq had contacted Butt, soon after the story aired on the media, and invited him to Islamabad to discuss the issue.
Butt had claimed that the party still owes him Rs50 million after Rs60 million were paid during the sit-in.
Today, Butt met with Haq at PTI Central Secretariat, where they agreed upon a formula for payment of services provided during the sit-ins. The formula would be presented before the PTI chairman and finance board of the party for formal approval and then mode of payment would be discussed in another meeting within the next few days.

Talking to the media, after the meeting, DJ Butt said that he has complete faith in Imran Khan and believed that the issue would be resolved.

A DJ getting 60 million ??? my goodness!!! a cardiologist or cardiac surgeon can't even make that much money in 3 years .All he did was rerun old songs and some speakers . He should be paid 10 lakh only and should pay taxes on that .
i am not sure what his education level is ???? cuz if he hasn't been to college and is making that much money then he can be a motivation for a lot of the young kids .

No sensible person would pay that much for sound system. How can these politicians be trusted for national budget? DJ has already got 60 mil, and still calling the shots. I bet there's much more to blackmailing than mere legal action threat.

I am not sure what PTI is looking for? How you can pay Rs 110 Million to musician??????? There are millions of hungry people looking for 1 time food, proper medical support, good education... Just wondering if the whole country resources are in the hands of PTI apparently they will do exactly what Zardari & Nawaz have done.. So this Naya Pakistan is just a hollow slogan,,,

Being a strong supporter of clean environment, may I suggest the government put a limit on the pitch on loud speaker use. Peace is possible in our country when mullahs and politicians stop shouting at the public and learn to control their pitch. No offense intended.

Not sure why so many people on here are surprised & critical of the amount that DJ has claimed. Its a simple math of an agreement.
Either 110M, 1100M or 111000Million, important thing is if #PTI & #DJButt had a deal, it shall be honored by #PTI if #DJ has kept his part of the bargain. Nobody from #PTI office bearers is heard complaining on this claimed amount by #DJ
