KHAIRPUR, Oct 8: Growers of Khairpur, Setharja and Thari Mirwah continued their protest against the sale of substandard pesticides here on Wednesday.
Setharja growers staged a sit-in on the National Highway and growers of Khairpur and Thari Mirwah staged a sit-in outside the office of the district Nazim.
The growers said influential dealers were selling substandard pesticides but the agriculture department was taking no action against them.
They regretted that a pesticide dealer of Setharja was trying to implicate growers in a false case of arson attack on his shop.
