QUETTA, Oct 5: The police have taken five people belonging to the Balochistan National Party into custody for interrogation regarding the bomb blast in Rojhan Jamali boys high school.

“A team of senior police officers is questioning the five persons about the Rojhan Jamali blast,” a police officer said and added that more arrests could not be ruled out in this regard.

Those in police custody are: district BNP Vice-President Abdul Salam Baloch, General-Secretary Abdul Ghafoor Baloch, Ehsan Khan Khosa, Saifullah Marri and Mohammad Usman Marri.

However, no arrest was reported for the rockets attack on a railway engine in which the driver was killed and two people injured.

Sources said that after identifying the assailants and their camps, the law enforcement agencies were making efforts to expose them.

More contingents of the police and Balochistan Reserve Police were deployed in and around Rojhan Jamali after the blast, sources said and added that security for Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali’s relatives had been increased.

The law enforcement agencies were patrolling round-the-clock in the village.

Chief Minister Jam Mir Mohammad Yousaf has directed the authorities concerned to make all possible efforts for the early arrest of those involved in the bomb blast and the rocket attack.

He said he would not tolerate any negligence in this connection.

He said the terrorists would be brought to task and such activities would not be allowed in future.
