Air Marshal meets Chief of China’s Air Force

ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman visited the headquarters of People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) China on Monday.

A smartly turned out contingent presented him a guard of honour at the PLAAF headquarters.

The air chief was given a briefing on the working of PLAAF.

He also called on Gen Ma Xiaotian, Commander People’s Liberation Army Air Force. The two remained together for some time and discussed matters of professional interests and mutual cooperation, said a press release issued here.

The air chief had meetings with the president of China Electronic Technology Corporation and president of China National Electronics Import & Export Corporation Qu Huimin.

He also met Ji Yanshu, president of China Precision Machinery Import Export Corporation; Zhi Yulin, president of China North Industries Corporation, the president of Aerospace Long March International Trade Co Ltd; Zhang Zhen Gao, chairman of Polytech Inc; and Xu Zhanbin, Administrator of State Administration for Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence.

The air chief assured the Chinese officials of strengthening military as well as civilian cooperation between the two countries in general and the two air forces in particular. The PAF chief is on a five-day official visit to China.
