KARACHI, Oct 4: Various functions are being organized by the Dr A.Q. Khan Centre of the Institute of Behavioural Sciences to celebrate the International Day of Mental Health.

The first such function, which was an art contest, was organized at the IBS Campus on Sept 30. Over 40 students —aged between 12 years and 16 years— from four local schools participated in the contest.

Main purpose for organizing the art contest on the subject was to create awareness among the children regarding mental health. The faculty member of Indus Valley, Usman Ghauri, was the judge at the contest.

The winner of the competition will be given Rs5,000 at the national symposium being held on Oct 11.
