ISLAMABAD: National Book Foundation (NBF) has completed re-developing of textbooks up to the international level and optimal standardisation in three months.

For this purpose, workshops on textbook development were conducted and textbooks developing experts, authors and scholars attended these workshops.

After intensive discussion, the whole job of development, printing and delivery of textbooks from Grade-I to Grade-X for students of Federal Directorate of Education institutions for the current academic session has been completed.

Textbooks review plan was initiated by Managing Director, NBF, Prof Dr Inamul Haq Javeid who made a comprehensive plan to re-develop textbooks having an attractive layout, design and technique of taxonomy, said an official of the foundation on Sunday.

Under the supervision of renowned textbook development expert, Prof Dr Attash Durrani, the book development section made corrections in textbooks from Class-I to Class-X in the first phase.

At NBF, the foundation review committee started its work on developing standard textbooks. The comprehensive plan was chalked out to bring these textbooks on par with international standards.
