QUETTA: A man was killed and 11 people, seven security personnel among them, were injured in two bomb blasts in Quetta and Noshki on Friday.

They said FC personnel appeared to be the target of the blast because as soon as their vehicle came close to rickshaw someone detonated the bomb by remote control.

The blast left eight people, including three FC personnel, injured who were taken to the Civil Hospital.

One of the injured, Dur Mohammad Langov, died during treatment. He was passing through the area on his bicycle when the blast occurred.

The injured FC personnel — Qismat Gul, Fazal Akbar, Sanaullah — were later shifted to the Combined Military Hospital in Quetta.

The other injured were identified as Saeed Jan, Fida Muhammad, Noorullah and Muhammad Ramzan.

SSP Operations Aitzaz Ahmed Goraya said that three FC personnel and four passers-by were injured in the blast.

SP Sariab Zahoor Babar Afridi told Dawn that 80 to 100kg of explosives was used in the blast.
