The strike call was jointly given by the BRP and the Baloch Republican Student Organisation

BRP spokesman Sher Mohammad Bugti alleged that security forces had been carrying out a military operation in Kalat, Mastung, Isplinji, Dasht, Kabu, Johan, Narmuk and surrounding areas for the past many days and more than 30 people had been killed during the operation.

He said two Baloch youths were killed in Mashkey in the operation in which helicopters were also used.

Mr Bugti thanked the transport and business community for supporting the strike call.
