DERA MURAD JAMALI: A man shot dead his wife and her alleged paramour in a village near Dera Allahyar area of Jaffarabad district.

Police said on Thursday the incident had taken place in Goth Jatoi where one Shahzada allegedly opened fire on his wife Hasina and the alleged paramour Noorul Haq Jakhrani.

The two suffered multiple injuries and died. Shahzada managed to escape.

The bodies were shifted to hospital by the police.

“The double murder seems to be a case of honour killing,” a police officer said, adding that an investigation was under way.

Police raided various places to arrest the suspect, he said.
