KARACHI, Oct 2: The match between St Paul’s English and St Lawrence’s School in the Askari Intermediate inter-school cricket tournament produced a dramatic tie at the NBP Sports Complex on Thursday.

St Lawrence, chasing a paltry 90 in 25 overs, finished at 89 for eight after St Paul’s had been restricted to the same score with nine wickets down.

Kalimullah (five for 14) and Saad Siddiqui (four for 20), meanwhile, bowled Avicenna School to a narrow nine-run victory over The Socrates School at the PAD Park. The Socrates were bowled out for 141 in 24.1 overs.

Earlier, Avicenna made 150 all out in 25 overs with Awais Khan taking four for 17.
