LAHORE, Oct 2: District Coordination Officer Khalid Sultan on Thursday found three district officers, a deputy district officer and all employees of the district officer (colleges) absent from duty.

The DCO visited the District Education Office on Hall Road to inspect the functioning there.

Those found absent included DO (colleges) Syeda Shabnam Ali, DEO (elementary education) Ghulam Husain Shakir, DO (women) Rukhsana Sarwat and DDO (women) Humaira Dahir. All of them had submitted leave applications to the district officer (admn) after the departure of the DCO to preempt a disciplinary action. Their applications were, however, rejected.

The DCO expressed displeasure over parking of motorcycles and bicycles of the employees in the office corridors, and poor maintenance of the furniture and office record. He said these vehicles should be parked at the stand and office furniture and record should be maintained properly.

He also ordered improvement of the park behind the office building.
