LAHORE, Oct 2: The railway administration will pay dues to their employees within one month after their retirement.

General manager (operations) Aurangzeb Khan stated this here on Thursday while giving away cheques worth over Rs2.3 million to eight employees who had retired in September.

He said the railway ministry’s notification regarding job to a family member of an employee who would die in the line of duty would be implemented in letter and spirit.

Similarly, he said the legal heirs would also be provided housing facility according to the status of their job.

He announced that Muhammad Ashraf, son of gardener Muhammad Akram, who had died while in service, would be given a job according to his qualification. —Staff Reporter
