MIRPURKHAS, Oct 2: A meeting of the district council, Mirpurkhas, presided over by Mir Anwar Talpur, was held here on Wednesday.

The members complained about the irresponsible behaviour of the medical officer of the basic health unit, Tando Jan Mohammad. They further said that a woman had died despite taking a complete course of anti-rabies vaccine. They said it appeared that the vaccines were expired.

The convener asked the EDO (health) and the UC Nazim concerned to look into the matter and report to the council in three days so that necessary action could be taken.

The meeting was told that Rs30 million were allocated for purchase of medicines.
