KARACHI: The Anti-Terrorism Court-1, Karachi, on Thursday extended the remand of two alleged agents of the Indian spy agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), on the request of the investigation officer.

According to the prosecution, the suspects were involved in anti-state activities and were planning to spread terror in the country along with their absconding accomplices.

Requesting for an extension in their remand, the investigation officer submitted in the ATC that their facilitators were hiding in the city and he needed time to trace their whereabouts.

The court extended the physical remand of the suspects till May 26 directing the IO to submit a progress report on the next hearing of the case.
