SIALKOT, Sept 29: A self-styled spiritual leader (peer), with the help of his seven accomplices, kidnapped the wife, five young daughters and a minor son of his follower from village Othiyan on Monday.
Aslam alias Miskeen Malang used to go to the house of his follower Ilyas. He was not at home when Aslam and his seven accomplices, including Allah Ditta alias Billa, Maalik and Sikandar, stormed into his house and kidnapped his family besides robbing Rs100,000 in cash, wrist watches, VCR, tape recorder, gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs300,000.
Bambanwala police have registered a case with no arrest or recovery.
ANOTHER INCIDENT: Four gunmen kidnapped a class eight student ‘S’ when she was going to school in Adalatgarh, Uggoki, on Monday morning.
Uggoki police have registered a case against Sajid, Yasir and two of their unidentified accomplices on the complaint of girl’s father.
injured: Robbers injured a landlord and his wife, and took away cash, valuables and vehicles in various parts of the district in the last two days.
Reports said six robbers burst into landlord Muhammad Yousaf’s house at Dhadu Basra village, Daska tehsil, and started collecting cash and gold ornaments. As the couple resisted, the armed men shot at and injured them. They fled with cash and ornaments worth Rs50,000.
The injured were admitted to the civil hospital in critical condition. Daska police have registered a case against the six robbers.
At Bhanewali village, three armed men deprived Muhammad Mubashar and his sister of cash and gold ornaments worth Rs60,000.
In another incident at Paharipur village, three armed men robbed Muhammad Aslam of Rs40,000 in cash and a gun.
Robbers also drove away with trader Pervaiz’s motorcycle (STN-3338) and took Rs5,000 in cash at Chahar Bajwa village, Motra.
Highwaymen drove away with trader Iftikhar’s motorcycle (STL-5276) and took away his mobile phone and Rs45,000 in cash at Bhagatpur village. Another motorcycle, owned by Asghar, was driven away on the Sialkot-Bhagowal Road.
Police have registered cases against the suspects.
